KITCHEN LEADER - Exchequer Street
We’re looking for a hands-on, standards-driven Kitchen Leader to join us at Sprout. Someone who leads the kitchen with care, keeps things running smooth, and takes real pride in great food.
Our kitchen is the engine of everything we do in our restaurants, and as a Kitchen Leader at Sprout, you’ll play a big part in bringing our fresh, seasonal food to life.
You’re the eyes and ears of the kitchen, leading the team, delivering great food, and making sure every shift runs smoothly. You’ll support your GM, train and develop the kitchen team, and be key to the quality and consistency that keeps our customers coming back.

Pay: €34,000–€36,000 salary depending on experience and role
What You’ll Be Doing
- Food Safety & Compliance – Ensure all food safety and health & safety protocols are followed to the highest standard, always.
- Hygiene Hero – Champion a clean, sanitised kitchen where safety and standards are never compromised.
- Quality Check – Own the consistency and quality of what we serve. Keep a close eye on portioning, prep, and presentation.
- Allergen Alert – Be the gatekeeper for allergen awareness, ensuring all food is safely prepared and properly labelled.
- Recipe Rundown – Manage prep sheets, guide the team through the day’s tasks, and keep things running to plan.
- Flavour Focus – Maintain high standards for taste and presentation. If it doesn’t look or taste right, it doesn’t go out.
- Process Perfection – Know our SOPs and lead by example. Ensure procedures are followed and standards are met every day.
- Cost Guardian – Monitor and manage COGS and waste to keep things cost-effective and efficient.
- Stock Management – Oversee FIFO stock rotation and manage freshness and availability of ingredients at all times.
- Skill Building – Support your team’s growth through hands-on training and day-to-day development.
- Team Connection – Build strong, open relationships with your kitchen team. Create a supportive, productive environment.
- Performance Enhancement – Give feedback regularly, identify strengths and gaps, and help your team get better every shift.
- Peak Performance – Be ready to lead from the front when it’s busy. Jump in, support the team, and keep things moving.

What We’re Looking For
This is a leadership role that blends food passion with operational excellence. Here’s what matters most:
- Experience – Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar kitchen leadership role (or strong supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen).
- Food Safety Knowledge – Solid understanding of HACCP, allergens, and kitchen compliance standards.
- Leadership Skills – You know how to inspire and guide a team while maintaining high standards.
- Strong Organisation – You can plan prep, manage stock, and keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy shifts.
- Communication – Clear, confident, and able to coach and give feedback.
- Knife Skills & Kitchen Know-How – Competent with prep and passionate about food quality.
- Curiosity & Drive – Eager to learn, improve processes, and develop your career further.
- Good Level of English – Able to understand and communicate instructions clearly.
